Job description

To qualify, you must be able to complete the following responsibilities:

  • Management of existing contractors / risk management

  • follow the contractors' services and take actions - ad hoc, periodical or permanent - where necessary

  • analyze the necessary and available capacities

  • track opportunities and risks

  • lead and manage internal working groups (MFTs)

  • develop internal network and on-site relationships (and presence) to gather valuable information and feedback

  • contribute and assist in the development of the product strategy and roadmaps

  • organize annual meetings with suppliers

  • relationship management, in close collaboration with the buyer and / or the contract manager

  • Qualification of new contractors

  • actively seek potential new contractors

  • administrative tasks related to qualification (publications, use of the sourcing platform, etc.)

  • write or adjust qualification processes and procedures

  • analyze and evaluate candidates, incl. audit at the contractor

  • develop and maintain an external network

  • coordinate the qualification process with the relevant internal services

  • supervise new contractors throughout the process, including monitoring of pilot / test projects

  • negotiate the general conditions of the contract

  • reporting, building dashboards, and managing change communication

  • Autonomously manage isolated purchasing files (as a buyer)

  • support buyers if necessary

  • presence on the site (execution phase)

  • ad hoc presence in team meetings of certain departments

  • coordinate with internal and external experts

  • Full integration into the purchasing team and an interest in all aspects of the buying process, as well as technical affinity is a logical but absolute condition for success. Creating and maintaining a professional network and contacts requires an open and cheerful personality

  • Be communicative and have easy contact

  • Have an entrepreneurial mentality (take actions yourself and follow up, propose improvements, ...)

  • Being autonomous, objective oriented and enjoying multi-tasking

  • Being a good coordinator

  • Experience in SAP / Ariba is a plus

  • We are looking for a person with relevant professional experience of min. 5 years

  • Experience in the civil engineering / technical environment sector

  • English : Fluent

  • Dutch : Fluent

  • French : Fluent

  • Contract Type : Project

  • Duration : 6 months (Extensible)

  • Location of Project : Brussels
